While I may only have a small patio to test my gardening skills, I decided to take on the challenge this summer. One pot, some dirt and a few pales of water later I am exploding with basil. When I started this journey I don't think I expected this success (I am pretty well known for killing plants). Furthermore, with this success I didn't anticipate potentially what I would actually do with this abundance of basil. I thought to myself, "Maybe I did inherit a smidgen of my Mama's green thumb, there is hope for me yet!" While I didn't have a solution, pinterest surely did. As a result I have pesto "ice cubes" ready for pasta and basil "ice cubes" for delicious sauces.
