Hello 2014

It's a new year, which always reminds me that it's time to reflect.  In the new year I take a day to read through my previous years journal.  In the last pages I write out my thanksgiving for that year; touching on the blessings, experiences, lessons and hardships that occurred that year.  Giving thanks for how I've grown through each experience and situation. And most importantly thanking my Savior for the life He has given me and for his faithfulness, grace and love in every moment.

 This year, the hardest, yet biggest blessing were the wonderful moments I had with my grandpa before he passed.  His passing allowed me to also reflect and be grateful for such a loving and supportive family and the many memories we have together.

Winter Crafting

I am a sucker for a good sale.  My mom calls it the "shopping gene," which apparently has been past down for generations. I also love crafting and Christmas sales make easy prep for next years decorations.  I found the ornaments below at Target for $3 and decided it was time for a new wreath with a pop of color.  All you need are ornaments and a wire hanger and voila you have a wreath!

Have fun and take a look...

Step 1:  Collect Ornaments

Step 2:  Find a metal hanger.

Step 3:  Unwind the wire hanger and start stringing ornaments.

Step 4: Twist the wire with pliers to close the wreath and create a functional wall mount.  ALL DONE.
