Reuse? Why not! Before I share with you two recycling projects I created I have to say sorry for my absence in the blog world. It is as if I forgot completely that I have a blog floating out in cyberspace and today it came calling back to me. The two projects you will see below are made from materials that would have been thrown away or recycled for other purposes. I hope these two items inspire you and get your creative juices flowing for other wonderful recycling projects. Last winter I spent a sufficient amount of time at a local coffee shop in Milwaukee by the name of Alterra. After seeing how many paper cups I was going through I decided to create some "artwork" out of the used cups. I use quotations because I don't consider myself much of an artist. Take a look...
I just can't help to follow the trend of putting birds on things :) Basically all I did was cut out the shapes from the paper cups, glue them onto a canvas and mod podge over the top of the canvas to help them stay in place.
Another thing I enjoy tremendously is "Sweet Leaf" lemonade and tea, it tastes great and it comes in an adorable glass bottle. I made these bottles into vases and pencil jars using a variety of fabric and spray on adhesive. Take a look...
I hope you like! Have a super crafty day!
Boo
