Bridal Showers!!!!!! When planning a party I am all about the details and my cousins bridal shower was no different! I wanted Kylee's shower to be chic, country cool, girly and full of personal details, including pictures of the bride and groom, a special guest book, displayed reasons from the groom on why he loves the bride, activities for the guests and a special seat just for the bride. Below you will see a few of my DIY ideas to make her bridal shower (or one your planning) personal, chic and light on the wallet.
"Count the Ways"
This was my most favorite idea, I
bought a set of chalk boards from my new favorite craft site
(save-on-crafts.com), I bought wooden initials and a heart, chose a
color palette, painted them and hot glued them on. Then I asked the
groom to tell me reasons why he loved his bride and displayed them on
the chalk boards.
"Photo Booth"
In one of the bedrooms we had a photo booth set up for all of the guests to enjoy. This DIY project was very simple, I taped a variety of scrapbook paper together and used it as the backdrop and the extra chalkboards from my first project were perfect for special messages to the bride.
"Lace Banner"
This is super easy, buy lace ribbon and small close pins and display away.
"Guest Book"
In the invitation I gave each guest an index card and I asked that they bring it to the shower with a family or favorite recipe written on it. When they arrived I had them place it in a simple photo album and then they could write a message next to it (in the memo section) to the bride. I loved this idea because every time the bride goes to use one of the recipes she gets to see a special message from a friend or family member.
I hope you like! Have a super crafty day!
